Syncon Wind Turbine Oil is a state-of-the-art, synthetic, extreme-pressure (EP) gear lubricant specifically developed for lubricating the heavily loaded gears and rolling-element bearings in gearboxes of new-generation wind turbines.
Syncon Wind Turbine Oil is available in one viscosity grade: ISO 320. It is formulated with synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils, a non-chlorinated extreme-pressure additive package and select inhibitors. It has outstanding oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures to help minimize deposit formation and provide long service life. The advanced additive technology provides high load-carrying capacity for outstanding protection against scuffing and wear, as well as excellent protection against rust and corrosion.
Syncon Wind Turbine Oil has proven performance, providing outstanding protection against gear micropitting and scuffing in gearboxes in European wind turbines manufactured by Vestas, Bonus Energy, Winergy, Nordex and Gamesa. It is recommended for use in U.S. wind turbines manufactured by GE, MHI and others. It is fully compatible with the seal materials used in these wind turbine gearboxes.
Note: Oil filters with pore sizes of 5 microns are recommended for the main oil circuit of wind turbines, and pore sizes of 3 microns are recommended for the bypass circuit.
